During the Exposure by Winifred Westergard
the slow photography of Tintypes, Ambrotypes, and the Silver Gelatin print
October 9 - November 23, 2025
This collection of photographic works reflects Westergard’s ongoing curiosity with the origins and evolution of the medium. Beginning with the Wet Plate Collodion process of the mid-19th century and moving through to the early 20th century's advancements in consumer film, she explores photography’s transformation from fragile, one-of-a-kind images to the more accessible forms we recognize in contemporary films. Within these historic processes, Westergard returns to the themes that continually draw her in: the complexity of the human face and the quiet resilience of the natural world.
